This traditional and friendly Spanish coastal holiday resort is situated close to the airport city of Girona and only a short drive north of Barcelona. Its miles of golden sandy beaches have long been an attraction to British visitors. There are lots of smart shops selling clothes and beachwear together with numerous bar and cafes etc and a busy Marina.

Aparthotel Comtat Sant Jordi

This excellent 3 star hotel has offered a warm welcome to our groups for the last few years. Situated only a short walk from the town and beach it offers spacious air conditioned apartment style rooms with 2 to 6 beds, all with bathroom facilities, sofa, kitchen, satellite TV, phone and safety deposit. All meals are taken in the hotel’s own dining room with many meals giving of buffet style with lots of choice. Groups leaving the hotel for a full day excursion will also be given a picnic lunch.

The hotel has its own pool, games room, wi-fi and entertainment. It is ideal for school groups.

Hotel Calata Palace

Our second hotel in Platja d’Aro is the superb 4 star Htop Caleta Palace Hotel situated in an enviable position adjacent to an excellent sandy beach and a short walk to the town itself.

As you would expect of a 4 star property the Hotel offers a high standard of meals, rooms and service.

The hotel was totally refurbished in 2017 in a contemporary Mediterranean style of décor with spacious, bright and airy rooms all equipped with smart furnishings, balcony with sea or pool views and complete with en-suite bathroom facilities, satellite TV, telephone and air conditioning.

Meals are again taken in the Hotel dining room with many buffet style choices. There are 2 pools, a number of shops on site, games room, garden, terrace bar and entertainment.

Sports fixtures and other activities/visits

Our visiting teams play against club sides in the nearby area of Barcelona. We try to arrange these games as close as possible to similar ability levels. Teams will receive two or three fixtures per team during the visit according to group requests. These games normally take place in late afternoon/early evening. Depending on the number of teams a group take we try to organise each age group fixture again the same club side and at the same venue. On occasion we sometimes have to split venues but this is usually if there are both boys and girls teams. It is essential that groups provide us with genuine ability level for each of their teams.

The clubs we use offer excellent facilities and high standards of pitches and grounds- many of which have their own bars and cafe. These include 3 G pitches and training facilities so appropriate footwear should be taken and worn. Groups are made very welcome and have a presentation before the game.

In Spain we are also able to offer Netball games on a variety of dates throughout the season. These are organised in the form of a tournament against other visiting teams.
